How can I reuse my candle jar?

Candle are incredibly versatile once your candle is finished! Our Moods and Vineyard collections were designed with a specific second life in mind and both collections are food & dishwasher safe - Moods candle jars are intended to be reused as food storage containers. Vineyard candle jars can be repurposed as wine glasses after the wax has been cleaned out!


Here are some more general creative and practical ways to reuse candle jars:


Home Organization & Storage:


  • Bathroom storage: Cotton balls, Q-tips, hair ties, or makeup brushes
  • Kitchen jars: Spices, loose tea, sugar, coffee, or snacks
  • Desk organization: Pens, paper clips, push pins, or cords
  • Jewelry holder: Rings, earrings, or small accessories
  • Travel containers: Reusable jar for toiletries or small essentials
  • Vases: An option for our larger 28 oz candles.

Decor & DIY ideas:


  • Mini planter: Perfect for succulents or small herbs
  • Decor accent: Add fairy lights, dried florals, or stones
  • DIY gift jar: Fill with candy, bath salts, or a homemade treat
  • Memory jar: Notes, affirmations, or keepsakes
  • Refillable candle: If you've signed up for a candle class and already have one of our jars, bring it in cleaned and you can pour another candle in it! (For Columbus, OH locals only. Must be a Vella & Co. jar from a previous pour class.)
